What we collect, and why we keep it

Who we are, and what this page covers

FundingFactory is building an AI fundraising platform for early-stage founders. We are based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and we are the ones who decide what happens to the information described here. Full corporate details and our registered address are available on request from info@fundingfactory.ai.

This notice covers the fundingfactory.ai website and the waiting-list form on it. It does not cover the product, because the product is not open: there are no accounts, nobody can sign in, and nothing is sold. When that changes, this notice changes with it.

What you give us

Two things come from you: your email address, and one choice, founder or investor. There is nothing else for you to fill in, and we ask for no name, company, phone number or payment detail anywhere on this site.

What our server records

Two more things are recorded by our server when you submit the form. The language of the page you signed up on, English or Arabic, so that your welcome email arrives in the same language. And the date and time, so we know the order in which people joined.

Stopping abuse

The form allows five signups in any ten minutes from the same source, which is what stops it being stuffed with junk. That is the whole of it. Nothing from that check is used to identify you, to profile you, or to work out where you are.

If you are already on the list

Submitting an address that is already on the list returns the same confirmation you saw the first time and changes nothing behind it: no second record, no second email. That is deliberate. It means the form cannot be used to find out whether a particular person has signed up.

What we do with it

One welcome email goes out per new signup, in the language of the page, and it carries a removal link. Once a day a summary of new signups goes to FundingFactory with a spreadsheet of them attached, and once a week that mail carries a copy of the whole list, so that we can see how the list is growing. When early access opens, you get an invitation.

We do not run marketing campaigns against the list. We do not sell it, rent it or share it. There is no advertising on this site, no tracking pixel, no third-party marketing tag, and no data broker anywhere in this.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Two reasons, in plain words rather than article numbers. You asked to be on the waiting list, and we keep your address in order to do the thing you asked for; that is your consent, and you can take it back whenever you like. Separately, we have a genuine interest in this form not being abused, and that is what the five-in-ten-minutes limit is for. We have weighed that interest against your privacy, which is why the window is short and why nothing from that check is used for anything else.

How long we keep it

Your email address stays on the list until you ask us to remove it, or until we close the waiting list, whichever comes first. We have not invented a number of months, because the honest answer is that it depends on when the product opens. The rate-limit counters expire ten minutes after they are created. Backups age out on the ordinary cycle of the service that holds them, so a deleted entry can persist in a backup for a short while after it leaves the live list.

Who else handles it

A small number of providers, described here by what they do: the service that delivers our email, the provider that hosts our database, and the platform that serves the site. Each acts only on our instructions, under a contract, and none of them may use your information for its own purposes. A current list of them is available on request from info@fundingfactory.ai.

Where it is handled

The providers we use to run the site and to deliver our email may process your information outside the country you live in. We choose providers that offer appropriate contractual protections for that, and we do not claim any certification we do not hold. If you want to know where your information is held, ask us at info@fundingfactory.ai and we will tell you.

What you can ask us to do

Ask to see what we hold about you and we will send it. Ask us to correct it, to delete it, or to hand it over in a form you can take elsewhere, and we will. Object to what we are doing, or withdraw your consent, and we stop, which in practice means deleting your entry.

One address does all of it: info@fundingfactory.ai. We do not ask for a reason, we do not charge, and we will not make you create an account in order to leave a list you never needed one for. We answer within thirty days and usually much sooner.

How we keep it safe

The list sits in a managed database that requires credentials and encrypted connections; the site is served only over HTTPS; the form is rate-limited and rejects cross-site submissions; and access is limited to the few people who need it.

What we will not tell you is that nothing can ever go wrong, because nobody can honestly promise that. What we can tell you is that we deliberately hold very little, so there is very little to lose.

No cookies, so nothing to consent to

This site sets no cookies, ours or anyone else's, and it stores nothing on your device. Our traffic measurement is aggregate and cookieless: page views are counted for us by the provider that serves the site, and no identifier is kept on your device and no profile is built. The result tells us that a page was viewed, not who viewed it. That is why you have not been shown a consent banner and why there is nothing on this page to opt out of. If we ever need a cookie, we will ask you before we set it.

Not for children

This is a product for company founders and investors, and the site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under eighteen. If you believe a child has joined the waiting list, write to info@fundingfactory.ai and we will remove the entry.

When the product opens

A platform with accounts, documents and investor information needs a longer notice than this one, and it will have one before anybody can sign in. We will publish it on this page, date it, and tell everyone on the waiting list by email before it takes effect. We will not quietly widen what we do with information you gave us under this version.

If you want to complain

Write to info@fundingfactory.ai first. We would rather hear it from you and fix it. If that does not satisfy you, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live, or to the competent authority in the United Arab Emirates, where we are based. Nothing on this page takes that right away from you.
